Almaty records half of May’s average rainfall in two days, emergency crews on standby

ALMATY. May 12 (Interfax-Kazakhstan) – Almaty received about half of its monthly rainfall in a two-day period, prompting municipal services to operate in heightened alert status, the city administration said.
