Kazakhstan freezes new private school contracts, cuts off elite school funding

ASTANA. Jan 21 (Interfax-Kazakhstan) – Kazakhstan will impose a moratorium on new state contracts with private schools and end public funding for expensive elite institutions, Prime Minister Olzhas Bektenov announced Wednesday.
