Issue of building new railroad from Bakhty to Ayagoz scrutinized - Ministry of Industry of Kazakhstan

ALMATY. Nov 25 (Interfax-Kazakhstan) - Issues of opening a third border crossing on the Kazakh-Chinese border and from Bakhty to Ayagoz were scrutinized with a feasibility study into the project being prepared; it is planned that 80% of funding will be provided by the Eurasian Development Bank and 20% by the national railway operator Kazakhstan Temir Zholy, Kazakh Minister of Industry and Infrastructure Development Kairbek Uskenbayev said at a ministerial meeting addressing the Trans-Caspian interconnectivity development involving interested countries.
