Kazakh constitutional amendment would let parliament set early presidential election date

ASTANA. Jan 26 (Interfax-Kazakhstan) – A proposed constitutional amendment would give Kazakhstan’s future single-chamber parliament, the Kurultai, the authority to call an early presidential election if the office is vacated prematurely, Justice Minister Erlan Sarsembayev said Monday.
