Head of private clinics in Kazakhstan suspected of embezzling $1.5M in state health funds


ALMATY. Jan 15 (Interfax-Kazakhstan) - The director of two private clinics in Astana has been detained on suspicion of embezzling 682 million tenge (approximately $1.5 million) from Kazakhstan's Social Health Insurance Fund, the Financial Monitoring Agency (FMA) reported Thursday.
