Deepfake fraud ring targeting Kazakh citizens dismantled in Ukraine

ASTANA. Sept 25 (Interfax-Kazakhstan) - Kazakh law enforcement authorities, in a joint operation, have dismantled a massive fraud ring that used deepfake technology to steal nearly 900 million tenge from Kazakh citizens, Kazakhstan's Ministry of Internal Affairs said Thursday.
