Kazakhstan's parliament approves bill on new People's Council in first reading

ALMATY. May 15 (Interfax-Kazakhstan) - Lawmakers in Kazakhstan's lower and upper houses of parliament reviewed and approved in the first reading Friday a draft constitutional law establishing the Halyk Kenesi (People's Council), a new supreme consultative body.
