Qarmet will raise $1.3 bln from Chinese banks to finance investment program

TEMIRTAU. Oct 11 (Interfax-Kazakhstan) - Qarmet Metallurgical Plant (formerly ArcelorMittal Temirtau) plans to attract up to $1.3 billion from Chinese banks to finance replacement of equipment and overhaul of the coke oven battery, said Qarmet deputy general director for finance and strategic development Zaure Zaurbekova,
