    Kostanai has its own bronze Charlie Chaplin

    Kostanai. Interfax-Kazakhstan – Bronze Charlie Chaplin appeared in a downtown of Kostanai (administrative center of Kostanai oblast) in a square in front of the Kazakh-French cultural center.

    Director of the cultural center Grigoriy Chervyakov told Interfax-Kazakhstan that one of center’s founders gifted the monument to the city.

    Sculptor from St. Petersburg Aexei Bokiy is author of a whole-length bronze statue of Charlie Chaplin wearing a derby and carrying a cane.

    According to Chervyakov, Charlie Chaplin statue in Kostanai brings their total number worldwide to 12.

    The monument unveiled on May 1 has already turned into a sightseeing attraction for city locals and guests, he indicated.
