CHEVRON READY TO CONTINUE INVESTING IN KAZAKHSTAN
Astana. May 18. Interfax-Kazakhstan - Chevron is determined to continue investing in the Kazakh economy in future, said Chevron Vice Chairman of the Board George Kirkland.
“The outcomes of our cooperation with Kazakhstan are very impressive. The oil production at Tengiz has soared 26 times in the last 19 years. We have created tens of thousands working places, over 86% of our employees are Kazakh citizens,” he said at the international conference "Kazakhstan - U.S.: 20 years of partnership in the name of security and development" on Friday in Astana.
According to him, in the last 19 years Tengizchevroil has spent about $12 billion on purchase of Kazakh goods and services.
“We are ready to invest in Kazakhstan for many years to come,” he said.
