KAZAKHSTANI-US NON-PROLIFERATION COOPERATION HAS REACHED HIGHEST LEVEL - NAZARBAYEV Astana. May 18. Interfax-Kazakhstan - The cooperation in the field of nuclear non-proliferation between Kazakhstan and the U.S. has reached the highest level of trust and efficiency, the President of Kazahstan Nursultan Nazarbayev said.
“Nuclear non-proliferation and the reduction of weapons of mass destruction are the cornerstones of Kazakhstani-U.S. partnership. Our cooperation in this important sphere has reached the highest level of trust and efficiency,” Nazarbayev said in his welcome address to the international conference entitled “Kazakhstan-USA: 20 Years of Partnership for Security and Development”.
The president’s address was delivered by head of the Nazarbayev Center Kanat Saudabayev.
“Another important sphere of our relations is ensuring regional security. Our cooperation in the fields of energy, trade, investment and new technology is moving successfully. The political dialogue between our countries is characterized by intensity and a high level of understanding,” the Kazakhstani president noted.
“The many-sidedness and depth of our cooperation define the Kazakhstani-U.S. relations as truly strategic and directed into the future,” he said. |
