KAZAKHSTAN IS APPEALING CIS MARKET FOR THIRD OF FOREIGN INVESTORS, SURVEY
Almaty. May 16. Interfax-Kazakhstan - Over 30% of the surveyed foreign investors see Kazakhstan as one of the most attractive markets in the CIS, said Ernst & Young Partner, Tax & Legal, Erlan Dosymbekov.
"Over 30% of respondents noted that Kazakhstan is in the top three most attractive CIS markets in terms of investments along with Russia and Ukraine. The investors also recognized the efforts of the Kazakh government that favorably affected the investment climate. They primarily stressed political stability and high economic potential of the country," he said at Interfax-Kazakhstan press center in Almaty on Wednesday.
He also noted that foreign investors find Kazakhstan's taxation quite favorable. "Comparing to many Western countries, tax rates in Kazakhstan are much lower. It definitely contributes to the attractiveness of the tax system, as the tax burden on a foreign investor is not so high," said Dosymbekov.
