INFLATION IN KAZAKHSTAN INCREASES 0.3% IN JULY, 3% SINCE BEGINNING OF YEAR

Astana. August 1. Interfax-Kazakhstan - Inflation in Kazakhstan totaled 0.3% in July 2012, the State Agency for Statistics said.

Last month the prices for food products rose by 0.1%, services by 0.9%. Non-food prices fell by 0.1%.

Since the beginning of the year inflation has reached 3% with food prices having increased by 2.6%, non-food prices by 1.7%, services prices by 4.8%.

According to the agency, the yearly inflation (July 2012 vs. July 2011) amounts to 4.7% with food prices up 3.4%, non-food prices by 3.8%, services prices by 7.2%.

The annual average inflation (January-July 2012 vs. January-July 2011) stands at 4.9%. In January-July 2012 food prices showed a year-on-year growth of 4.3%, non-food prices by 4.9%, services prices 5.8%.
