SUBSISTENCE LEVEL FALLS 1.2% IN KAZAKHSTAN IN JULY
Almaty. May 2. Interfax-Kazakhstan - The subsistence level in Kazakhstan in July amounted to 16,979 tenge (150.01 tenge /$1).
The subsistence level fell 1.2% in July, but grew 2.2% year-on-year, the State Agency for Statistics said.
According to the statistics, in July the cost of food in the subsistence wage stood at 10,188 tenge; that of non-food products and services at 6,791 tenge.
Last month the subsistence level was calculated at 13,434 tenge for children under 13, 21,515 tenge for boys of 14-17, 16,483 tenge for girls of the same age, 20,235 tenge for working age men, 16,068 tenge for working age women and 15,947 tenge for the elderly and retired.
The population of Kazakhstan exceeds 16.7 million people.
