KAZAKHSTAN NEEDS NATIONAL SOCIAL DEVELOPMENT CONCEPT - NAZARBAYEV
Almaty. July 10. Interfax-Kazakhstan - The President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev has given the government and the Nur Otan party until April 1, 2013 to develop a National Social Development Concept for the period until 2030.
"We need a specific approach to social modernization that will produce tangible results in changing the lives of every family and every citizen for the better," Nazarbayev noted in his article published in the Kazakhstanskaya Pravda on Tuesday.
Nazarbayev emphasized that social modernization was "not a mere formality".
"We need specific legislative, organizational, ideological and information measures to free the public from obsolete perceptions and false social stereotypes," he said.
The president believes social modernization can only be successful if it is based on economic achievements.
"No social modernization is possible outside industrial and innovative development. Everyone should understand this," he wrote.
To this end Nazarbayev ordered the government and the Nur Otan party to draft a National Social Development Concept covering the period until 2030 before April 1, 2013.
