KAZAKH GOVERNMENT AND NATIONAL BANK TO DEVISE A CRISIS RESPONSE STRATEGY
Astana. July 3. Interfax-Kazakhstan - Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev has told the government and the National Bank to develop a national strategy for crisis response.
"The government and the National Bank are to develop a new crisis response strategy that will be applied in the event the global markets will fall. We must be ready to adequately respond to a probable decrease in exports of our resources and in cash inflows," the president told an industrial forum in Astana on Tuesday.
According to the president, the new strategy should be clearly defined and intelligible to all Kazakhstanis.
"The approaching crisis will be a sort of test drive for all government agencies and organizations, city mayors and regional governors, ministers, the government and the prime minister. I think we should bravely look ahead at what will happen after the second wave of the global crisis when Kazakhstan will be among the industrially developed countries," the president stressed.
