KAZAKHSTAN AND CANADA SHOULD EXPAND THEIR LEGAL FRAMEWORK, KAZAKH AMBASSADOR TO CANADA
Toronto. May 24. Interfax-Kazakhstan - Kazakhstan and Canada should expand their legal framework in order to improve trading, economic and investment cooperation, says Kazakh Ambassador to Canada Konstantin Zhigalov.
"Broader legal framework of Kazakhstan and Canada would greatly contribute to further development of our trading, economic and investment cooperation. First of all, we should seal agreements on peaceful use of nuclear energy and protection of investments," the ambassador writes in his article for Interfax-Kazakhstan.
According to Zhigalov, the two countries should expand cooperation in the mineral resource sector, including production of uranium and gold, agriculture, health care, environment protection, education, banking system and other industries.
In his opinion, Kazakhstan and Canada share the same approach to global security and international cooperation, including such areas as nuclear non-proliferation, international terrorisms and stabilization of Afghanistan.
The ambassador hopes that the two countries have high potential for cooperation.
