Astana. October 29. Interfax-Kazakhstan – The Kazakh National Security Committee (KNB) is determined to prosecute those who disseminated the misleading information disguised as an official report from Interfax -Kazakhstan news agency.

On Thursday night, a provocative news report about an alleged Kazakh-Chinese armed conflict on the mutual state border has been released.

Kenzhebulat Beknazarov, the chief of the press office of the National Security Committee (KNB) commenting on the false news report allegedly issued by Interfax-Kazakhstan dubbed the news “an apparent disinformation” and stated that the writers of the misleading news must be prosecuted to the full extent of the law.

Interfax-Kazakhstan is seriously concerned with false reports citing Interfax-Kazakhstan as a source occasionally resurfacing in the internet and mail boxes.

The agency condemns such provocative actions and seeks an adequate punishment for dissemination of misleading reports issued under its name.
