Samruk-Energy planning $680 mln Eurobond placement

Almaty. November 29. Interfax - Kazakhstan's JSC Samruk-Energy plans to place $680 million in Eurobonds, according to the prospectus, which is in Interfax's possession.

The lion's share of these Eurobonds will be placed on the Irish Stock Exchange (ISE), and at least 20% will be placed on the Kazakhstan Stock Exchange (KASE).

The Royal Bank of Scotland and Sberbank CIB are acting as the organizers, and Troika Dialog Kazakhstan will organize the placement in Kazakhstan.

The Central Bank of Ireland has approved the issue, and Samruk-Energy has submitted a placement application to the ISE. The KASE has already given the okay for Samruk-Energy to include its international bonds on the official list in the Rated Debt Securities category.

Established in 2007, Samruk-Energy is part of the sovereign wealth fund Samruk-Kazyna. Its activities include producing, distributing and selling electricity and heat, as well as producing steam coal.
